Valentine's Day

First night in a new flat… tried a new feijoa ice cream recipe. Absolute disaster - came out like frozen juice. Left it on the bench for a while and it melted enough to stick a spoon in.

Dad went home two hours ago. Got period cramps.

Am now sitting in my room bawling my eyes out and feasting on frozen (but steadily melting) feijoa-flavoured condensed milk. Great first night in a new home, huh?

My first attempt at a recipe!

I would just like to share a new ‘recipe’ that can unfortunately only be credited to a very well-shared Facebook photo…

I have, in the past, attempted to start Christmas traditions in my family, but due to the melting of the white chocolate the false Christmas puddings made from mallowpuffs didn’t go down too well. So, this year I tried something that couldn’t POSSIBLY fail.

Strawberry Santas!

Very easy to make, delicious to eat, and definitely the talking point of the table. However, I did manage to fail in making the first one (which my sister kindly dubbed the ‘Anti-Claus’ - a reference lost on my non-Supernatural fan readers no doubt - and consumed with great enthusiasm), which fell over, and had to be rescued from the (thankfully empty) sink.

A tip to anyone planning on making these next year - put them on a plate immediately after finishing, and MAKE SURE THE BOTTOMS ARE FLAT.

That’s all for now, and Merry 317 days ‘til next Christmas! (quiet sob)

Hello all you lovely non-existant followers :)
Having already had a multi-fandom blog for many years and wishing to branch out into the many realms of tumblr, I have decided to start a food blog. Not necessarily going t be any good at it, and none of the recipes are mine, but it gives me a goal to know that people may (possibly) be watching my progress. So. Hello, all!
